Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 2026

Welcome to the website of Laura’s Couture & Alterations. By accessing or using this website, scheduling appointments, or utilizing our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Please read them carefully.

Appointments & Consultations

All appointments are scheduled based on availability. Consultation fees, reservation fees, and deposits are non-refundable
unless otherwise stated.

Appointments may require confirmation prior to the scheduled date. Failure to confirm may result in cancellation of the appointment.

Alteration Timeline

We strongly recommend beginning alterations at least 3–4 months prior to the wedding date or bridal portraits to ensure proper timing and fitting availability.

Rush services may be available depending on schedule availability and are subject to additional rush fees.

Pricing & Estimates

Pricing discussed before seeing a gown in person is considered an estimate only. Final pricing is determined after evaluating the gown’s construction, fabric, design, fit, and requested modifications.

All alteration and customization costs are non-refundable once work has begun.

Payments

Payment is due according to the agreed service schedule. Certain services may require deposits or partial payments before work begins.

Accepted payment methods may include cash, credit card, debit card, Zelle, or other approved payment methods.

Late or unpaid balances may delay completion or release of garments.

Fittings & Garment Responsibility

Clients are responsible for bringing all necessary items to fittings, including shoes, undergarments, accessories, and any additional garments needed for accurate fitting.

Once garments leave the possession of Laura’s Couture & Alterations, we are not responsible for damages caused during transportation, storage, wear, or handling by third parties.

Vintage & Delicate Garments

Certain fabrics, vintage garments, lace, beadwork, silk, tulle, and aged materials carry inherent risks during alterations, cleaning, and restoration processes.

While we take every precaution possible, Laura’s Couture & Alterations cannot guarantee against fabric weakening, discoloration, damage, or deterioration due to age, wear, or prior condition of the garment.

Cleaning & Preservation

Wedding gown cleaning and preservation services are performed with professional care; however, stain removal results cannot be guaranteed, especially for older stains, oxidation, yellowing, burns, or environmental damage.

Preservation completion timelines may vary depending on gown condition and service volume.

Garment Pick-Up & Storage

Clients are responsible for timely garment pickup after completion notification.

Garments left beyond the designated pickup period may be subject to storage fees.

Laura’s Couture & Alterations reserves the right to decline responsibility for items left unclaimed for extended periods.
